Classes at The MAC...

The Midwest Athletic Club Group Exercise program offers a wide variety of classes which include formats for the beginner as well as the seasoned veteran.

We offer classes that will get you started on the basics of step, a format for those who enjoy athletic movements, Spinning classes for all fitness levels,  and Kick Boxing classes for a great interval workout.

The group exercise instructors at the M.A.C. are certified by nationally recognized organizations.

We also offer Mind/Body classes of Yoga, Pilates, MVeChair, Tai Chi and Piyo.  These are paid programs and run in 8 week sessions.  See more information under MAC News for the latest schedule and sign-up times.

Class Descriptions & Schedules

45/45
Class Schedule
45 minutes of cardio work followed by 45 minutes of muscle works. A complete workout to get your weekend started off just right!
Back to Basics
Class Schedule
Do you feel like you have two left feet? This class will help. Learn the basics of step, kickboxing, and muscle works while getting a good workout. This class will be offered the first Saturday of every month.
Boot Camp
Class Schedule
This class will challenge your endurance and stamina taking you through drills and some obstacle courses. A heart pumping way to build strength for the heart and the body.
BOSU
Class Schedule
This class will not only challenge your balance but will add a new dimension to your strength and cardio workout. Most of the exercises done on the Bosu may also be performed on the floor.
Core Xpress
Class Schedule
This class is a wonderful core training experience that will strengthen and tone.
Cycle and Sculpt
Class Schedule
An exhilarating ride followed by muscle works. A total cardio, upper and lower body workout. All fitness levels.
Cycling
Class Schedule
A group workout on stationary bikes with a motivating instructor. All terrain rides with flats, hills, and sprints. We encourage participants to work at their own pace. All fitness levels are welcome. Bring a water bottle to class. Participants should call to reserve a bike and arrive 5 minutes early to adjust bike. Please call and cancel if you are unable to keep your reservation.
Dynamic Muscle Works
Class Schedule
Using the foundation of weight training and core stability, Dynamic Muscle Works will incorporate interval and circuit training that your heart will love! Class formats may vary from week to week, but will always provide a balanced aerobic and anaerobic workout. All fitness levels.
Kickboxing
Class Schedule
Punch and kick your way to being fit! This class incorporates interval training, calisthenics, punches, and kicks to create one great calorie-burning workout! Good class for all levels. Hand wraps must be worn if gloving up or sparing.
Masters Class
Class Schedule
A well-rounded workout for all ages. Formats may vary from week to week. A great class for mature adults and people new to group exercise.
Muscle Works
Class Schedule
All major muscle groups are worked as an instructor leads the class and helps you develop correct form. While incorporating movements from traditional weight training, functional training, and core stabiltiy. All fitness levels.
Salsaerobics 60
Class Schedule
Spice up your workout with a little bit of Salsa, Cha-Cha, Mombo, and Meringue with some cardio pushes in between.
Step
Class Schedule
The ever-popular step is a fun way to workout. Level options are shown so beginner and advanced steppers have an awesome workout. Classes may include multi-step. Great for all fitness levels.
Step Interval
Class Schedule
Taking turns being on the step and off is a great way to add variety to your step.
Step/Muscle Works
Class Schedule
Group personal training at it's best! This class focuses on strength, stability, and flexibility of all major muscle groups combined with the ever-popular step is a fun way to workout. Level options are shown so beginner and advanced steppers have an awesome workout.
Synergy
Class Schedule
This class is a perfect blend of exercises focusing on core body, strength, joint stability, balance, with components of Yoga and Pilates. Modifications will be demonstrated to encourage success for all fitness levels.
Total Body Conditioning (TBC)
Class Schedule
This class provides a balanced workout with emphasis on cardio, strength, and flexibility.
